A true veteran of the industry, Luci literally grew up in the hair business. Her grandfather was a barber and her mother and aunt were both stylists. “It’s in my DNA,” explained Luci, who started out as a shampoo girl, working for many years at a salon owned by her mother, Edith.
A graduate of Pivot Point, Luci has been doing hair for over 40 years, and was a Certified Volunteer Wig Specialist for the American Cancer Society for 25 years.
Despite her rich experience, she stays up to date on hair trends by annually attending the America’s Beauty Show at McCormick Place every March and the Chicago, Chicago conference by John Amico every September. She also keeps her skills fresh by attending monthly workshops and classes with Cosmetologists Illinois in Lake County, where she also teaches courses for the Ladies Division, Hair Color Division, and Braiding Division.
Luci loves every aspect of her job, especially watching clients’ happy and satisfied reactions to her work. She especially enjoys helping clients who are “stuck in a rut” and willing to change their hair or look.

BEST HAIR TIP: “Whether it’s a new color for you or shampoo or product, don’t be afraid to try something new.”
